XCPT Using your patient’s X-rays
or digital images, XCPT allows for real-time treatment planning with a patient participating at your side. With
XCPT, the doctor and staff quickly draw or graphically drop crowns, implants, notes, and more right on their
own images. In this way, the patient is able to see the plan of treatment and projected outcome.

Dual Monitors
: According to Dell: they recommend the 32Mb, ATI RADEON VE VGA/DVI (DUAL MONITOR) or the 32MB AT RADEON, VGA (DUAL MONTIOR). They would want to go with the first one, VGA/DVI if they are going with the Flat panel monitors, and the other video card if they are going with any other type of monitor. However, if they are selecting a Flat Panel monitor analog, for example a E151FP or E171FP then they can go with the second card. It is essential that if they select a digital monitor that they select a card cable of supporting a digital monitor which is why they would want the DVI card (DIGITAL VIDEO INPUT).Examples of compact hardware (CIEOS Cieoport- mounts in wall www.cieos.com) Note- Cieos installs medical grade flat screen monitors- easily cleaned and designed for treatment area use.

Networking computers
Network card, CAT5, CAT6 Wire, Hub/Switch
Snapserver-(now owned by Adaptec) hard drive that just plugs into hub www.snapappliance.com (look at "success stories" for the my story). This is called a network appliance- it is essentially a hard drive that shows up in your network neighborhood. You can "map" it and store images on it centrally and access it from any computer on the network.
Wireless 802.11B or A or G Linksys.com or Netgear.com or Dlink.com. New faster and further reaching wireless configurations in 2005. There is now "super G" and "pre-N". N is not yet official but it exists. Be careful with security- it has to be encrypted to avoid people from getting into your network.

(You can learn more about CRA and their courses by clicking here www.cranews.com ). There are also several covers and barriers made for keyboards. Some are universal covers while others are custom made for each major keyboard manufacturer.
